Dosto, ye chapter Speed = Distance รท Time ke ek formula par khada hai. Isi se Trains (train khamba/platform/dusri train paar karti hai) aur Boats & Streams (nadi ki dhaara ke saath/against) ke sawal bhi ban jaate hain.

CET Group D mein isse 1โ€“2 questions aate hain. Do cheezein ratt lo aur aadha chapter khatam: km/h โ†’ m/s ke liye ร— 5/18, aur train ka distance = train ki lambai + jo cheez paar kar rahi hai uski lambai.

Chapter 6 (Average) ka average speed = 2xy/(x+y) yahan bhi kaam aayega โ€” dono chapters ek dusre se jude hain. Chalo shuru! ๐Ÿ’ช

1. Base Formula

โญ Speed = Distance รท Time Ghuma ke: Distance = Speed ร— Time  ยท  Time = Distance รท Speed
Solved Example: 60 km, 45 minute mein โ†’ speed?
Step 1: 45 min = 45/60 = 3/4 ghanta (time hamesha ghante mein!)
Step 2: Speed = 60 รท 3/4 = 60 ร— 4/3 = 80 km/h โœ“

2. Unit Conversion (โญ har sawal mein lagta hai)

โญ km/h โ†’ m/s: ร— 5/18  |  m/s โ†’ km/h: ร— 18/5 72 km/h = 72 ร— 5/18 = 20 m/s ยท 25 m/s = 25 ร— 18/5 = 90 km/h

๐Ÿ“Œ Kab kaunsa unit? Train ke sawal (lambai metre mein, time second mein) โ†’ sab kuch m/s mein karo. Safar wale sawal (km aur ghante) โ†’ km/h mein.

3. Speedโ€“Timeโ€“Distance ka Rishta

  • Distance same ho to speed aur time ULTE chalte hain (inverse) โ€” speed ratio a:b ho to time ratio b:a.
  • Time same ho to distance โˆ speed. Speed same ho to distance โˆ time.
โœ๏ธ Solved Example โ€” 5 km/h se 6 ghante lagte hain; 6 km/h se? Step 1: Distance = 5 ร— 6 = 30 km
Step 2: Time = 30 รท 6 = 5 ghante โœ“ (speed badhi โ†’ time ghata)

4. Average Speed (Chapter 6 se jud gaya)

โญ Average speed = Total distance รท Total time Barabar doori par do speed x aur y hon โ†’ 2xy/(x+y)
Solved Example: 60 km/h se jaata hai, 40 km/h se lautta hai โ†’ (2ร—60ร—40)/100 = 48 km/h โœ“ (50 NAHI!)

6. Relative Speed (do cheezein chal rahi hon)

โญ Ulti disha (opposite) โ†’ speeds JODO  |  Ek hi disha (same) โ†’ speeds GHATAO Solved Example: Do trains ulti disha mein 60 aur 40 km/h; lambai 150 m aur 250 m. Ek dusre ko paar karne mein?
Step 1: Relative speed = 60 + 40 = 100 km/h = 100 ร— 5/18 = 250/9 m/s
Step 2: Distance = 150 + 250 = 400 m
Step 3: Time = 400 รท 250/9 = 14.4 second โœ“

7. BOATS & STREAMS (naav aur dhaara)

โญ Downstream (dhaara ke saath) = b + s  |  Upstream (dhaara ke against) = b โˆ’ s Aur ulta nikalna ho to:
Naav ki speed (still water) = (down + up) รท 2  ยท  Dhaara ki speed = (down โˆ’ up) รท 2
โœ๏ธ Solved Example 1 โ€” Naav 10 km/h (still), dhaara 2 km/h Downstream = 10 + 2 = 12 km/h ยท Upstream = 10 โˆ’ 2 = 8 km/h
24 km downstream jaane mein time = 24 รท 12 = 2 ghante โœ“
โœ๏ธ Solved Example 2 โ€” Downstream 15 km/h, upstream 9 km/h Step 1: Naav = (15 + 9)/2 = 12 km/h
Step 2: Dhaara = (15 โˆ’ 9)/2 = 3 km/h โœ“ (jodo รท 2 = naav, ghatao รท 2 = dhaara)
โœ๏ธ Type 1 โ€” Seedha S = D/T (unit badal ke) "120 km, 3 ghante mein" โ†’ speed = 40 km/h. "200 km kitni der?" โ†’ 200/40 = 5 ghante.
Dhyan: minute diye hon to รท60 karke ghanta banao; metre-second diye hon to m/s mein hi raho.
โœ๏ธ Type 2 โ€” Train + pul/platform 180 m train, 270 m pul, 20 second. Speed?
Step 1: Distance = 180 + 270 = 450 m
Step 2: 450/20 = 22.5 m/s โ†’ ร— 18/5 = 81 km/h โœ“
โœ๏ธ Type 3 โ€” Do trains (opposite ya same direction) Opposite: relative = jodo (jaldi paar hoti hain).
Same direction: relative = ghatao โ€” 80 aur 60 km/h โ†’ 20 km/h (isliye bahut zyada time lagta hai).
Distance dono case mein dono lambaiyon ka jod hi rehta hai.
โœ๏ธ Type 4 โ€” Boat ka ulta sawal "Downstream 15, upstream 9" โ†’ naav 12, dhaara 3. Aur agar "naav 12, dhaara 3" diya ho to down = 15, up = 9. Dono taraf se sawal aata hai โ€” jod/2 aur ghata/2 yaad rakho.
โœ๏ธ Type 5 โ€” Average speed (do tarafa safar) Jaate waqt 60, aate waqt 40 โ†’ 48 km/h (2xy/(x+y)), na ki 50.
โš ๏ธ Agar time barabar ho (doori nahi), tab simple average chalega โ€” sawal dhyan se padho ki "same distance" hai ya "same time".
Trick 1: 5/18 aur 18/5 ka jugaad
km/h โ†’ m/s: ร—5/18 ยท ulta: ร—18/5
Yaad rakhne ka tarika: m/s ka number chhota hota hai (18 km/h = 5 m/s), isliye chhota banane ke liye 5/18.
Trick 2: Train ka distance = lambaiyon ka jod
Khamba = sirf train ยท platform = train + platform
Khamba/aadmi/ped ki apni lambai zero maano. Ye ek line train ke aadhe sawal solve kar deti hai.
Trick 3: Boat ka jod-ghata
Naav = (D+U)/2 ยท Dhaara = (Dโˆ’U)/2
Down aur up diya ho to jodo/2 se naav, ghatao/2 se dhaara. Poora Boats topic sirf isi ek line mein.
Trick 4: Distance same โ†’ speed aur time ULTA
Speed 3:4 โ†’ Time 4:3
"Speed 25% badha di to kitna time bachega?" โ€” speed 5:4 โ†’ time 4:5 โ†’ 20% time bachega (Ch 4 + Ch 5 ka mel!).
Trick 5: Relative speed ka soch
Aamne-saamne = jodo ยท peechha = ghatao
Ulti disha mein trains jaldi cross hoti hain (speed jud jati hai), same disha mein bahut der lagti hai (speed ghat jati hai).
โŒ Galti 1: Unit mix karna Lambai metre mein, time second mein, par speed km/h mein โ€” aisa mat karo. Pehle sab kuch ek unit mein lao (train ke sawal mein m/s), phir formula.
โŒ Galti 2: Platform ki lambai chhod dena Platform/pul paar karne mein distance = train + platform. Sirf train ki lambai lagane par speed galat aa jayegi (khambe wale sawal mein hi sirf train ki lambai lagti hai).
โŒ Galti 3: Average speed ka simple average 60 aur 40 ka average speed 48 hai, 50 nahi โ€” jab doori barabar ho. Ye Chapter 6 wala hi trap hai, yahan phir se aata hai.
โŒ Galti 4: Upstream/downstream palat dena Downstream (dhaara ke saath) = b + s โ€” ye tez hoti hai. Upstream (against) = b โˆ’ s โ€” ye dheemi. Naav ki speed hamesha dhaara se zyada honi chahiye, warna naav aage badhegi hi nahi.
โŒ Galti 5: 45 minute ko 0.45 ghanta likhna 45 minute = 45/60 = 0.75 ghanta (3/4). Aise hi 20 min = 1/3 ghanta, 40 min = 2/3 ghanta. Minute ko seedha decimal mat banao!
